"Did anyone else find the cabin crew really unfriendly?"
I’m not sure if it was just my flight, but the cabin crew came across as rude and unprofessional. Their attitude made the whole experience feel uncomfortable and much worse than it needed to be. Curious if others have had the same experience.

"Recent delay really soured it for me"
I just flew with them recently, and the delay is what’s sticking in my mind the most. The seats were fine, nothing special but not terrible. What bothered me was how little help there seemed to be once the flight was late. The staff didn’t really seem interested in giving updates or making the situation any easier. Maybe it was just a bad day, but after this last experience, I’m not in a hurry to book with them again.

"Booking was fine, but way more effort than it needed to be"
I booked a domestic flight on virginaustralia.com and the booking did go through in the end, so no major issue there. But the site felt clunky and slow in places, and I had to poke around more than I expected just to figure out things like seat selection. It wasn’t a disaster, but it felt like more effort than it should’ve been for a simple flight booking

"Hours of delays, then a cancellation with zero real help"
My flight kept getting delayed for hours, and then at the last minute they just cancelled it. The whole thing was way more stressful than I expected. Staff didn’t really explain what was going on, and trying to get rebooked felt completely disorganized. I ended up losing an entire day and still had to keep chasing updates myself. it was a really frustrating experience.

"Suitcase came back damaged and the process was a nightmare"
Flew with Virgin Australia and my suitcase came out cracked with one of the wheels completely missing. I reported it at the airport straight away, but I just got bounced from one person to another without anyone really helping. Then after that, it took ages to get any sort of reply. Every time I thought I’d done what they asked, there seemed to be another step or different requirement, like the goalposts kept moving. Really frustrating when you’ve paid for checked baggage and it comes back in that state.

"Refund process has been a real headache"
My flight was cancelled and trying to get a refund from Virgin Australia has been exhausting. I’ve sent emails and they seem to disappear into the void, then when I call, the staff just keep telling me to wait a bit longer. No one can give me a straight answer about compensation either. It’s been weeks now, and even the small details like a proper update or clear timeline have been missing. Disappointing way to treat customers.

I tried reaching out to support about my booking and kept getting passed around without a clear answer. A few days went by and, as far as I can tell, nobody really got back to me with anything useful. Frustrating experience, and I’m not sure I’d bother trying again.

"Did anyone else get no real updates when their flight was delayed?"
My flight ended up being delayed for hours, and I barely got any clear updates or texts about what was going on. Every time I asked staff for help, they just told me to check the app, which wasn’t really telling me much either. Was anyone else stuck dealing with this too?

"Decent for building points, but support can drag things out"
I’ve been using Velocity with Virgin Australia for a while now, and overall it’s been fine. The points do build up steadily, which is nice because it feels like you’re getting a little extra value out of trips you were probably taking anyway. The frustrating part was when some points went missing — it took ages to sort out and involved more back and forth than I expected. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but it reminded me that loyalty programs are only really worth it when the support behind them is easy to deal with. I’ll keep using it, I just wish they were quicker to fix issues.

"Check-in and boarding were a mess"
Check-in took forever, even though the airport didn’t look that busy. Kind of surprising. The staff seemed a bit lost, and the bag drop machines kept sending people right back to the counter. So frustrating.
Boarding wasn’t much better. No clear lines, groups getting called at the same time, everyone just sort of crowding around. The flight ended up leaving late too, with barely any explanation. Disappointing experience overall

"Food onboard was disappointing"
I booked through virginaustralia.com and the flight itself was fine, but the food was not great. The snack was tiny, kind of stale, and the drinks took ages to come around. For what I paid, I just expected... I don’t know, something better. Definitely won’t be paying extra for that next time.

The prices aren’t bad overall, but they still feel a bit on the expensive side. I think a lot of customers would appreciate fares that are a little more affordable.
